YPSO Students CollAborate with Kakehashi Project
We’re excited to share that 4 current YPSO musicians, will be performing as part of a special collaboration with internationally respected koto artist Shirley Muramoto (YPSO Alumna, 1969)
This performance is part of the Kakehashi Project, and will feature Topaz by Mary Lou Prince - a powerful work for string quartet and koto that reflects on the history of Japanese American incarceration during World War II.

YPSO Spring Concert - America 250 Festival
YPSO is putting on a multi-part festival experience centered on celebrating the music and creativity of American classical composers. Through performances, community engagement, student-led small ensembles, our festival will showcase how American music is a cultural fusion of many musical genres. We invite all young people to explore American music together in this community-wide celebration.
